Todd takes his BOOM tables to Milan for '09.
Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola has designed a modular sofa for Moroso upholstered in fabrics inspired by traditional patterns from Uzbekistan.
Brazilian designers Fernando and Humberto Campanahave designed Cipria, a fake fur-covered sofa, for Italian brand Edra.
Konstantin Grcic opens the Extrusions collection which he has designed for Bd Barcelona design with this table, baptised as Table B. Its name is as simple and technical as the design itself. Grcic has been inspired by classic Bd pieces, such as the Hypóstila shelf unit (in production since 1979), in developing a tabletop of extruded aluminium with a minimal profile and for lengths of up to 360 cm. It is offered in various finishes and with three models of legs. Suitable for indoor and outdoor areas. Its apparent simplicity hides a complex technical development in which senior engineers have been involved. In counterpoint, the production also includes several manual processes. The result is a highly crafted piece with all the character of the German designer.

Campaign recently submitted their application to TENT London to design a Summer pavilion. The Pavilion sets out to become a lantern; a lantern for the Lightbox Museum by day & night.
TENT LONDON BLURB//
Applicants were asked to design a semi-permanent pavilion, which will serve as additional gallery space for The Lightbox. The museum and gallery, which is already housed in a RIBA Award-winning building by Marks Barfield Architects, have decided to mark their award of the £100,000 Art Fund Prize by investing in architecture again by initiating and financing this competition.
The entries were reviewed by an elite panel of judges that included the Director of The Architecture Foundation, Sarah Ichioka and the Turner-Prize nominated artist, Richard Wilson. Above and below: Feix&Merlin Architects with Martin Stockley Associates.
The winning entry will be engineered and constructed by Facit and shown as part of Tent London during the London Design Festival 2009, before taking up residence at The Lightbox.
