A project we love//SELF DEFENSE

A project we love....

SELF DEFENSE

Pocket of Active Resistance
Motivated by the desire to create a new  social scenario, the PAR system is a modular complex providing an alternative to the defiant lifestyle, by positioning itself in a permanent state of insurrection. Its growth is articulated by the vitality of its spontaneous community.
A pocket of active resistance created by welcoming the discontented, this act of guerrilla architecture sets out to hijack the “Great arch of fraternity.” Unite the forsaken, the marginalized, refugees, demonstrators, dissenters, hippies, utopians, and the stateless of all kinds.

Foldaway Bookshop - Behind the scenes

It was all hands on deck here at Campaign cutting and folding 58 giant sheets of cardboard (4700mm x 2170mm) to make the Foldaway Bookshop.

From left to right: Nese, Sofia and Amita from Campaign.
Thank you to all our amazing helpers. We couldn't have done it without you.

Inspired by the open pages of a book. We wanted to do something that could be recycled, so we used cardboard.

Along with giant paperclips and post-it notes, visiting feels like being in a giant book.

We even used giant pencils!

Big Clips kindly provided by our friends Arash and Kelly.
The Foldaway Bookshop will be open for the duration of the London Festival of Architecture (until July 4). For opening times and event program go to:

We built a cardboard bookshop

Campaign created the bespoke interior and graphics for the Foldaway Bookshop. We built the walls, shelving and sales counter entirely from cardboard which will be recycled at the end of the Festival. Stocked by RIBA Bookshops, Foldaway Bookshop is a specialist architecture bookshop.

Book recommendations from a selection of London's practising architects and critics are displayed throughout the store.

Projections of clips from seminal films featuring modern architecture and the city will animate the space, creating a lively and sociable space that will host a variety of events including book launches, signings, and talks.

For opening times and the events programme please visit:

Architecture we LoVE//

The initial formality of Caruso St John’s café for the newly restored gardens of Chiswick House soon gives way to something more complex and mysterious

This week sees the completion of a £12 million restoration of the pioneering landscape garden that Lord Burlington began establishing around his villa at Chiswick, in west London, in the second decade of the 18th century. More than 1,600 trees have been planted, long obscured vistas recut, vanished statuary replaced by close copies. It is a glorious transformation.

See you soon Chiswick!!

Campaign Loves Aesop Part II

As you know we are massive fans of Aesop and their great philosophy towards great skin care products.
We have just been lucky enough to all receive a beautiful Aesop gift pack, even little Effie Star got her favorite dog shampoo, we are all very grateful & extremely happy indeed!!
Hopefully this is the start of a great collaborative process.

Be sure to pop down to see the Aesop & Labour + Wait collaboration, details below:

We anticipate that the customers of both stores will benefit from this neighbourly cross-pollination.

Aesop Shoreditch can be found at 5A Redchurch Street, London E2 7DJ.

Labour and Wait is at 18 Cheshire Street,London E2 6EH, just off Brick Lane.

Further information can be found on the Aesop and Labour and Wait websites.
